Run the installer, then click the MAE Routing icon next to the clock, choose Sign in… and enter your network name.

Linux

Install the app and join your network with one command:

curl -fsSL https://routing.maesuaisystem.com/install.sh | sudo sh -s -- --org your-network

Open the link it prints, sign in and press Connect. Add any of these options to the command:

Option	What it does
`--org NAME`	Join the network NAME after installing
`--auth-key KEY`	Sign in without a browser
`--hostname NAME`	Device name in the network
`--advertise-routes LIST`	Act as a subnet router, e.g. `192.168.1.0/24`
`--advertise-exit-node`	Offer this machine as an exit node
`--uninstall [--purge]`	Remove the app (`--purge` also deletes this machine's keys)

Create an auth key in Settings → Auth keys first (choose “Reusable” for several containers).

Check the status with docker exec mae-routing mae-routing status.

Variable	What it does
`MAE_ORG`	Network name (required)
`MAE_AUTHKEY`	Auth key; without it the sign-in link is printed in the log
`MAE_HOSTNAME`	Device name in the network
`MAE_ROUTES`	Subnets to advertise, e.g. `192.168.1.0/24`
`MAE_EXIT_NODE`	`true` to offer the container as an exit node
`MAE_ACCEPT_DNS`	`true` to use the network's DNS settings (default `false`)
`MAE_USERSPACE`	`true` (default) needs no TUN device; `false` needs `--cap-add NET_ADMIN --device /dev/net/tun`
`MAE_SOCKS5_SERVER`, `MAE_HTTP_PROXY`	e.g. `:1055` to let other containers use the network
`MAE_STATE_DIR`	Where keys are kept (default `/var/lib/mae-routing`; mount a volume)
`MAE_EXTRA_ARGS`	Extra flags for `mae-routing up`
